Sous Chef (Birmingham)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our team at one of our sites. The role is based at a conference centre in Birmingham.

We are a contract catering company that provide a fresh food service; serving seasonal, modern food to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative person who has great attention to detail to help the team provide innovative fresh food daily to prepare food for a buffet and a la carte service. Lunch includes hot main meals, homemade soups and grab & go cakes. There is also a bar menu and room service available.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent craft skills, be flexible in their approach and able to work on their own initiative.

The ideal candidate will;

  • Have a can do attitude
  • Be organised and flexible
  • Have a good standard of culinary experience
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef in a large hotel or busy conference venue
  • Confident IT skills
  • Experience in managing and organising a team daily

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 as per rota, working a mixture of Morning/Lunch and Lunch/Dinner services.
