Our entire business has been built on a local supply ethos. We have 250 individual suppliers, many of whom are family-owned enterprises.  Wherever and whenever possible, we use local and regional suppliers because this ensures that our supplies are traceable, in-season and bursting with flavour and goodness.  By purchasing locally, we keep our quality standards high, environmental impact low and our customers’ health and wellbeing to the fore.

All of our meat is farm assured and sourced from a network of NCB-accredited butchers nationwide and our fish comes from Marine Stewardship Council fishing grounds to ensure sustainability.

Worcester Produce

Worcester Produce believes passionately in sourcing local produce and supporting the local community.  Understanding that it is the only way to do business, they build close relationships with nurseries and growers.

They like to keep fruit and veg simple, tasty and of the highest quality possible. They don’t supply mass produced foods imported from all over the world just because it’s cheaper; they only supply delicious handpicked produce that has been nurtured by local farmers, grown with pride and delivered fresh from the fields, great for the local economy – and helping to support local food heroes!

Worcester Produce nurseries are based across the Vale of Evesham, perfectly located to deliver fresh produce to our business.

As well as having their own nurseries for growing tasty fresh produce, they also have a number of highly trusted local partners who grow produce specially for them.

Owen Taylor & Sons

Owen Taylor & Sons have been butchers since 1922, supplying both retail and catering customers across the East Midlands. Owen Taylor is a family owned business which strives to provide customers with the finest quality produce, locally sourced, wherever possible.

The vast majority of their beef, pork and lamb is sourced from local ‘Farm Assured’ farms in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire and then brought to their site for maturation and preparation to customers’ specifications.

Other livestock is routinely sourced from neighbouring areas including Staffordshire, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.

As from the company’s earliest days, they hand-pick the finest animals and have them slaughtered at local abattoirs before they are returned as carcass meat which gives full control of the product, its quality and traceability from farm to plate.
