Sixth consecutive year in the Top 20
WILSON VALE APPEARS ON TOP 20 LISTING FOR THE SIXTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR.
Wilson Vale is one of only two companies to appear on the Foodservice Growth Report for six consecutive years since the listing was introduced in 2013.
Prepared by AlixPartners and EP Business in Hospitality, the Foodservice Growth Report 2018 shows the UK’s top 20 listing of the UK’s most dynamic and best performing companies within the UK foodservice sector.
Ashby-based Wilson Vale appeared in 12th place this year, down two places on last year, and along with Westbury Street Holdings (WHS), is the only caterer to appear on the list every year since 2013.
The report shows that Wilson Vale achieved 17.2% compounded annual growth in adjusted operating profit over the past three years. Turnover has increased by 39% over the same period, from 2015 to 2017.
Now one of the few independent caterers of scale operating within the sector, Wilson Vale has a portfolio of 95 clients, mainly within the corporate sector, independent education and conferencing. Turnover is forecast at £33 million for year-end December 2018.
Andrew Wilson, co-founder of Wilson Vale, said sector: “To appear on The Foodservice Growth Report for six consecutive years shows our niche positioning in the market, working closely with clients who appreciate our high levels of service, care and long-standing relationships.
“At the risk of sounding boring and repetitive, careful and steady organic growth is working for us, and our focus for the foreseeable future will be to continue to deliver consistent business results while prioritising the core values that make us unique.”
Graeme Smith, managing director of AlixPartners, said: “Wilson Vale remains one of the stars of our index, placing for an incredible sixth year running, having added more than £5 million in sales last year from eight new contracts or extensions. The company is now well positioned for further growth having made substantial investment in its operating infrastructure in the last 12 months, opening a new 8,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Ashby- de -la-Zouch.”
