This August, 18 of our team took to the hills for a 10-mile adventure to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Equipped with bags of enthusiasm and a good dose of team spirit, we put our best foot forward for a thoroughly rewarding day. Our route saw us summit Lose Hill, Back Tor and Mam Tor from Castleton in the Peak District.
Starting with the steep climb up Lose Hill, we reasoned that tackling the toughest section early would be better when we had the most energy! The views along the ridgeline to Mam Tor were stunning, giving us a breather after the climb to chat and reflect on why coming together for an important cause was so uplifting and grounding. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day’s effort and are already looking forward to next year’s challenge!
A heartfelt thank you to the generous hikers who stopped us along the way to make donations—we were truly touched by your kindness.
We’re thrilled to share that we smashed our original £1,000 fundraising goal, raising £2,075!
Cancer Research UK works tirelessly to fund life-saving research to beat cancer. We’re proud to be able to contribute to this worthy cause that supports so many people.
