Ollie Cairns-Baker celebrates success at the StrEATfood Awards! What an incredible achievement. We were delighted when one of our own chefs took centre stage at the StrEATfood Awards and walked away with not just one, but two winning dishes!
We are full with pride to share the incredible accomplishments of talented chef, Ollie Cairns-Baker. Ollie’s culinary craft earned him 2nd Place for Dish of the Year and 3rd Place for Plant-based Dish of the Year. It’s a testament to his creativity and passion for putting together mouthwatering flavour combinations.
Crafting these award-winning dishes wasn’t only about cooking; it was a journey of perfecting ideas and balancing flavours to create plates that really hit the mark.
So, what were these delicious dishes?
2nd Place Dish of the Year
A smoky and indulgent Loaded Rosti – barbecue pork burnt ends, heaped onto a crisp, golden rosti, topped with sweet pickled onions, rich baconnaise, and a sprinkle of savoury parmesan.
3rd Place Plant-based Dish of the Year
A flavour-packed, plant-based masterpiece: Sriracha Tofoo meatball panuozzo, paired with a kohlrabi slaw, crunchy pistachio and basil pesto. A dish that proves plant-based dining can be bold, creative and utterly delicious.
It’s excellent to see the effort and passion that Ollie put into creating these standout dishes recognised with these awards.
