We are pleased to announce the promotion of Melissa Wallbank to the new role of Wilson Vale Managing Director as part of recent updates to our leadership team. This marks the beginning of a new chapter at Wilson Vale, where our founding values and ethos remain as strong as ever.
After ten years with the company, David Anderson is embarking on a new journey, stepping down from his role as Managing Director, South. David commented: “I am leaving after a highly rewarding decade with the business, during which I have received incredible support and made lasting friendships. Wilson Vale is a special company that I will always think of fondly, but it is now time to explore new opportunities and take on a fresh challenge.”
Melissa will continue to work closely with Phil Hindmarch, Managing Director of Operations, who leads our Operations Team with an unwavering commitment to maintaining exceptional food quality, culinary craftsmanship and a personalised service. Many of our team members are well aware that both Melissa and Phil have been with Wilson Vale for many years – 20 and 14 years respectively – and have collaborated closely within our leadership team for over five years.
Melissa has played a pivotal role in shaping the business, not only through her outstanding financial expertise but also her astute business acumen and deep understanding of the culture and values that make our company unique. Since joining us as Wilson Vale’s first Accounts Assistant in 2004, Melissa has excelled in her roles as Accounts Manager, Financial Controller and Finance Director.
Melissa adds: “I am thrilled and humbled to take on this new role. Having been part of our leadership team for many years, I am confident that the outstanding team we have built will ensure Wilson Vale’s continued strength in the hospitality industry and our sustained progress which we have carefully nurtured over many years of trusted service to our clients.”
Phil joined us as a chef at Mount School in 2010 and from the outset his natural warmth, affinity with people and commitment to excellence in food and service have been evident. Rising through operational roles, including Head Chef, Chef Manager, Area Manager and Operations Director, Phil has had a huge impact on leading and influencing the business, steering it towards continued success.
Phil comments: “We have always remained true to our values as a company and I am proud of what we have achieved and continue to work hard for. Our teams are the foundation of our success, taking pride in their work and maintaining the highest standards of service.”
