On this International Women’s Day, we are delighted to shine a light on our Finance Director Melissa.
Over her 20-year tenure, Melissa has played an instrumental role in steering Wilson Vale towards consistent progression and surpassing financial objectives, showcasing a commendable track record of success.
A notable accomplishment, Melissa has maintained a sustainable growth trajectory, a founding business principle that she has steadfastly adhered to and skilfully nurtured. Over ten years, the net profit as a percentage of turnover figure variance is as little as 2.6% (omitting the main year of pandemic impact), a highly consistent rate which has taken tenacity and exacting standards to achieve year-after-year.
Melissa’s commitment to mentorship and leadership is evident in her active involvement in guiding Board-level Directors. Her extensive knowledge and strong leadership qualities have consistently shone through, enabling her to make measured and intelligent business decisions that contribute to the sustained success of Wilson Vale.
Another string to her bow, Melissa recently graduated from the WiHTL and Diversity in Retail Global Women Leaders Programme in December 2023 further underpinning her dedication to personal and professional development. Her commitment to mentorship, as she enters into a WiHTL and DiR mentor role, demonstrates her willingness to contribute to the growth and empowerment of future women leaders in the industry.
