Site Manager of the Year Finalists

Mar 3, 2023

We are very proud of our people at Wilson Vale and this award celebrates three exceptional managers who continually excel, lead their teams with enthusiasm and create added value for our wonderful clients.

The finalist spots went to Emmanuel at SHL, Graham at FujiFilm and Nigel at Serco. Here’s a little more about them…

Kellon Tappin, SHL

Not only is Emmanuel a talented chef, he also leads his team with great enthusiasm and guides by example on craft development having started with Wilson Vale as a Kitchen Porter in 2011. His journey with us has seen him whole heartedly drive his progression, with him now managing at team at a vibrant head office site. His aptitude for creating amazing menus with delicious flavours, combined with his investment in team development and site management is first class. He radiates positivity and has a can-do attitude that consistently nurtures a great team and site environment.

Graham Kelly, FujiFilm

Graham’s values align seamlessly with Wilson Vale, having a passion for great fresh food that brims with flavour and an appetite for delivering high standards and a quality service every day. He has gone above and beyond in rising to the challenge of working from a small kitchen, always thinking of different ways to create exciting menus for our customers which rely on innovative use of equipment, craft knowledge and technical skill. He is a fantastic mentor to his team, making sure food and skill development are at the forefront of daily practice. Food styling is exceptional as is his organisation and relationship with our valued client.

Nigel Gill, Serco

Having been with Wilson Vale for over ten years, Nigel is an established part of the Wilson Vale family and a joy to work with. He is known for his ever positive and kind nature. Nigel is an outstanding team leader and site manager, consistently performing with excellence in his account management, mentoring of his team and excellent food service. He has created a brilliant team culture and this is powerfully shown by the combined length of service his team of 6 has – over 41 years! Nigel always has time for everyone and nothing is ever too much trouble for this adaptive and creative manager.

The winner will be announced on our Wilson Vale Awards Roadshow – starting on 13th March. Keep a close eye on our Instagram and LinkedIn to follow us on our award giving journey!
